Local Designers Night

Nine Rubies invites you for an evening of celebration for our local talent.

Join designers Rosemary Hill of Designs by Romy, Hilary Smith Callis of The Yarniad, and Carrie Sullivan of Irish Girlie Knits to see their most recent designs.

Rosemary Hill, aka Romi, got her start by designing shawl pins for knitted lace shawls and then began designing knits herself. Her first pattern, Venezia, was published in Knitty. Recently Romi moved to northern Nevada where she has found a new source of inspiration for her beautiful patterns, including her latest Knitty design, the lace shawl Geshenk.

Hilary Smith Callis began designing knitwear after completing her first sweater. Her first published design is the wildly popular (and lovely) Citron shawlette. Hilary designs patterns for wearable, feminine garments and fun (to make & wear) accessories.

Carrie Sullivan, aka Irish Girlie Knits, is a blogger, sock-obsessed knitter, and designer known for her deceptively simple, perfectly gorgeous designs including our new obsession, Honey Bunches.

We encourage you to bring or wear any knits using patterns by any of these three designers!
