Instructor: Diane PalmeThe goal of the class is to get you weaving - you warp, weave and finish a scarf in class. Add a beautiful fringe to your woven scarf using a fringe twister.
For samples see our blog on the topic.The class includes the use of a 20" Ashford loom for your use. If you have a loom that you would like to use, please bring the instruction booklet that goes with the loom and various tools (clamps, hooks, and warping pegs). The loom must have a 7.5/8.0 dent reed. The classes are limited to six people per session.
Expect to stay an additional hour or so to finish your scarf. Class includes a 1/2 hour break for lunch. Looms are available for rent or purchase if you would like to use them at home.
Materials: Weavers will need two skeins of Plymouth Alpaca Grande, Plymouth Glow or Lang Sol Degrade. You can also use the Cascade 220 Superwash yarns for your first project. Please have your yarn wound prior to the class. Please bring two manila folders or paper grocery bags that have been cut apart to class.
