Here are two designs (ladder stitch and garter stitch with yarn-over) in three sizes: crib (32”x32”) and afghan (48”x60”). This pattern includes instructions & yardage needed for doing the two designs in 5 gauges (6, 5.5, 5, 4, 3.5 stitches per inch). Pick out the yarn and design you want. Make a swatch using the needle size that in recommended for the yarn and check the gauge. Use the chart to determine how much yarn is needed and how many stitches to cast on.
